The preferred Artwork Format for all jobs supplied to Galaxy Design is an Adobe Acrobat PDF.

Galaxy Design can also accept the following artwork formats on either Apple Macintosh or Windows platform:
Photoshop CS • Illustrator CS • InDesign CS • Acrobat 6 • FreeHand 11 • Corel 11 • Quark 6

	click these images to enlarge them	COLOURS/FONTS/IMAGES All colours used in an artwork file must be supplied in CMYK format. Galaxy Design will not accept responsibility for colour accuracy for files supplied in RGB. Avoid using 4 colour blacks in your artwork. Black blocks should be 100% black only where possible. Add 10-15% Cyan to blacks to make them deeper if required. When using Photoshop, edit image in CMYK to avoid large black blocks from becoming 4 colour blacks when converted to RGB. All fonts/type in artwork files must be converted to paths/outlines. If this cannot be done, all fonts used must be supplied with the job or embedded in the job. All images supplied must be 300dpi minimum, at size and in CMYK format. Images containing type should be supplied at 600dpi minimum at size. JPEG compression should be set to for minimum compression, maximum quality when supplying files so that minimal artifacts occur (12 in Photoshop). When supplying artwork from a vector drawing application (eg: Freehand, Illustrator and Corel), make sure all images are embedded.
click this image to enlarge it		ARTWORK LAYOUT Supply 1 artwork file per side of each job. Therefore, if a job is double sided, there should be 2 artwork files. Each artwork file should be done to the correct page size. eg: 90mm x 55mm card should be in a 90mm x 55mm document. A 2.5mm bleed out side of each card for trim is required. A 4mm margin area inside of each card job is required. Please allow 5mm bleeds and margins for A4-A0 posters, stationery, booklets and flyers.

There are 4 main ways to get your artwork to Galaxy Design:
1. Email your artwork files* to us at artroom@galaxydesign.com.au - we can accept emails up to 50mb
2. If you are registered, LOG IN to our online ordering system to submit your files* with your order.
3. Mail your artwork to us on one of the above listed media formats to: PO Box 8383, Heatherton, Victoria 3202 Australia
4. Bring your files into Galaxy Design. Please call prior to coming in to ensure someone is available to check your artwork.
* When send files to Galaxy Design, please put all files (front, back, images, fonts, etc) in one compressed file - sit or zip accepted.
