Galaxy Design Pty Ltd believes that it is of great importance that we give back to our community. Through our corporate sponsorship of the Oaktree Foundation, Galaxy Design Pty Ltd hopes to both support the young Australian volunteers that have the dream of making a different and also feels that this sponsorship will make this dream to 'empower developing communities through education' achievable.
The Oaktree Foundation is an entirely youth run aid and development organisation. It is driven by young people under the age of 26. Oaktree is about Young People Learning through Partnership. The mission of Oaktree is to empower developing communities through education in a way that is sustainable. This mission is based on the belief that education is the key to making lasting change and breaking the poverty cycle.
Oaktree’s current goal is to by the year 2012 have reached 100,000 young people in developing countries with increased educational opportunities. This will be achieved through the dedication of young volunteers across the country and the support of partners, sponsors and mentors.
