PDF SETTINGS FOR SUPPLYING ARTWORK TO GALAXY DESIGN

If you own a copy of Adobe Distiller...
download our Adobe Distiller settings by clicking on either MAC or WINDOWS. Once downloaded, un-compress
the file then either open the setting through Distiller or simply double click the file to launch Distiller.

If you do not own a copy of Adobe Distiller...
please see below for all the settings to use when creating a PDF of your artwork.

	Settings Part 1 General Settings Please be sure to set Compatibility to "Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3)". This will eliminate any problems that may occur with files using transparencies in them. Be sure to set the Transparency Flattener in Part 4.
	Settings Part 2 Compression Please be sure to set Downsampling of all colour and greyscale images to 600 pixels per inch. This will help keep the file size down but not effect image quality. Note: all images must be a minimum 300dpi. Set Compression to Automatic or JPEG and Image Quality to Maximum. Also, be sure that Compress Text and Line Art and Crop Image Data to Frames are selected.
	Settings Part 3 Marks and Bleeds Be sure that the Crop Marks check box is selected. Also make sure there is a 2.5mm Bleed all around the document.
	Settings Part 4 Advanced Be sure that Colour setting is set to Leave Unchanged. Your document should already be in CMYK. Lastly, make sure the Transparency Flattener preset is set to High Resolution. This setting determines the resolution of any transparency objects as they get flattened into an image. For example, if you have used drop shadows in Illustrator, they will get changed into an image in a PDF.
